Whatsapp has been one of the applications that has been used the most in Mexico, whether for personal issues or for contact between collaborators and/or clients / suppliers.
In case you didn’t know (I higlhly doubt it) there is an option to use WhatsApp from your computer or your tablet at the same time as your cell phone (which I suppose must have caused more than a problem between couples).
To access it, you only need to open this URL https://web.whatsapp.com, scan the QR code with your cell phone and that’s it, you can now have all the WhatsApp functionalities on your computer.
Now that if you already knew about this functionality, here are some tricks that you probably didn’t know.
How to activate/open WhatsApp on your computer.
- Open the WhatsApp app on your mobile device.
- Select the three points at the top of the screen
- This will show you a menu, in which you will select WhatsApp web.
- On your computer open https://web.whatsapp.com (This will show you a QR code)
- On your cell phone, select the option that says: Scan QR code.
- Once you scan the code, your WhatsApp account will be enabled on your computer.
How to use WhatsApp on two phones.
Although Whatsapp Web was made thinking about using it on a computer, you can follow the same process mentioned before but instead of doing it from your computer, you can do it from another cell phone through the browser of your choice, this way you will be able to have WhatsApp on two different cell phones.
Close or open sessions
It has happened to more than one person (it has happened to us) that we open an account (In this case WhatsApp web) and we forget to log out (Which is highly recommended) however in the configuration part (iPhone) or in the three points On the main WhatsApp screen and then entering the WhatsApp Web part, there is an option to close all open sessions without having to be on the computer.
Remember that you can only open one active session, so if you open WhatsApp on another computer without having closed the session, it will inform you that you already have an open session and will ask you if you want to use it from this new computer.
Read WhatsApp messages without opening them
Do you want to read a message from your contacts without them realizing it? In the WhatsApp Web version, you can hover your mouse over the conversation and it will display a preview of the last message if the person who sent it to you notices.
If you love keyboard shortcuts, this will interest you.
- Alt + F4: Close the chat window.
- Ctrl + P: Open the profile.
- Ctrl + N: New chat.
- Ctrl + Shift + ]: Next chat.
- Ctrl + Shift + [: Previous chat.
- Ctrl + Shift + N: Create a new group.
- Ctrl + Shift + U: Mark as unread.
- Ctrl + Backspace: Delete the conversation.
- Ctrl + Shift + M: Mute the conversation
- Ctrl + E: Archive the conversation.
